Add Shutters
Making shutters for your home is an easy task that can be done for under $40. Some 2×4’s, wood stain, and a few clothes are all you need. Adding shutters to your home can help add some variation in both color and design. It can help make the plainest homes feel brand new.
Most homes have a flower bed, but very few have their flower beds designated by an edge of some sort. There are plenty of different tiles you can use to gain this finished look. Most of these tiles can be found as cheap as a few dollars a tile at Home Depot or Lowes.

Update Your House Numbers
There are a million different ways that this can be done. Some are as simple as spray painting your current house numbers to bring some extra pop to them. Other ways can be more complicated. It’s trendy right now to have large house numbers, so maybe you just trade out your current numbers for an updated large font.
No matter the size of your porch, there is sure to be a way you can spruce it up. Some patio chairs, planters, decorations, or even a nice side table. Does your garage door look old, dented, and chipped? The garage door could be the one thing that could help liven up your house. There are magnets you can buy for less than $20 that can adhere to your garage door to bring a level of sophistication to your home.
Another idea is to simply paint your current garage door to give it a fresh face!
Paint Front Door
Did you know that painting your front door will cost you as little as $10. All you need is a small paint sample and a simple paint brush. Twenty minutes later you have a whole new front door. The fun thing most people don’t realize is you can continue to repaint your front door to match any season or decor you might have. So have fun and change things up when you can!
Another cheap upgrade is to give all your outdoor hardware a fresh coat of paint. Purchase a can of spray paint from the hardware store for $5 and start spraying, door knobs, house numbers, outdoor lights, mailboxes, etc. This example of some old gold hardware that was updated with a trendier bronze color.
